Jewelry Care Guide

What are some general care tips for longevity?

Our pieces are made to last. But a little loving care from you goes a long way. Some recommendations:

  • Avoid contact with extremely hot water.
  • Stay away from harsh and potentially damaging chemicals.
  • Be mindful of equipment when working out.
  • Store your jewelry in a clean, dry space when not being used.

Why is my skin turning green?

All of our silver pieces are made with 100% 925 sterling silver. It's very rare, but depending on the unique pH level of a person's skin, some people might experience a greenish hue appear from a reaction between the jewelry and your skin. Don't worry! This normally lasts just a week or two. Keep using your jewelry during this period, washing your hands, and do a daily polishing of the jewelry piece.

Why is my jewelry tarnishing?

925 silver is a compound consisting of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper or other alloy. If you are curious to learn more, you can read about it here!

As a compound (combination of 2 different materials) it may react with the environment around it (ex: lotions, cleaning products, or even your own sweat after you eat certain foods like garlic). But don't worry! It's easily fixable. We have our cleaning tips right below.

We recommend storing your jewelry in a clean, dry place when not in use.

How should I clean my piece?

Use the white side of the polishing cloth to remove any tarnish from your piece, and then after use the reverse side to polish your jewelry piece. Always use extra care when polishing to avoid any unintentional damage.

How do I take care of jewelry with natural stones?

Pay extra attention and use extra care when cleaning jewelry with natural stones.

Avoid harsh chemicals and gently use our polishing cloth as needed.

Heat is the main cause of damage to stones. We recommend removing the more delicate pieces when showering or using any heat device.

Please be aware we do not recommend getting the piece with your stone resized and it may crack or distort the setting.

Can I swim/shower wearing my piece?

100% yes! Salty oceans, pools, showers, it's all good.

We do not recommend using your jewelry in jacuzzis or hot springs as extremely hot temperatures are not ideal for jewelry. Note of caution - your fingers become smaller in very cold temperatures and if you go swimming in cold water your ring might just slip off your finger. Be careful!
